Clinical Pharmacy

Clinical pharmacy is responsible for delivering the right dose drugs to the right patient as well as supplying the patients with adequate education material for their treatment, especially for oral chemotherapy to minimise administration errors.

We are responsible creating a safe treatment plan, taking into consideration drug-drug interactions and drug-food interactions.

Clinical pharmacists receive preparation order from the treating physician on daily basis. They prepare chemotherapy in a sterile area to provide the best infection control.

At Cairo Cure, chemotherapeutic drugs are handled in a highly equipped clinical pharmacy. Disposal of these drugs after use is done by a specialised company to ensure safety and avoid hazards of these drugs.

Why is clinical pharmacy important?

  • More accurate drugs preparation
  • Saves time
  • More economical due to less drug waste
